Pause, unplug and reset

pause-unplug-and-reset

Hello lovelies,

I started this blog to have a place where I could share my story and experiences to help others.  I will be your cheerleader, a listening ear and support you in any way I can because I care about each and every one of you.

The Power of 3 Health and Wellbeing is a community of like-minded beautiful souls.  It is a supportive and safe space.  I will support you through the highs, lows and the bits in between when life is challenging.

Through my experiences and continuous self-awareness and self-development I will help and show you how to live your best life. The foundations of the journey are self-acceptance, self-love and knowing you are enough.  These three things in particular will help you to lead a happier and healthier life where anxiety does not run the show.

Personally, I don’t think I will never be truly free of my anxiety, but this does not worry me because it is a part of me.  I have taken my power back by being the one in control instead of allowing my anxiety to run, the show.  Yes, anxiety will show up from time to time, but that is ok.  I will share with you the tools I have learnt and continue to do so to live life by my rules.

One of the greatest things you can learn is self-awareness.  We are the experts of our bodies.  We live in a world where we are made to believe that we have to continuously hustle.  Our thoughts and feelings can either be of service to us or be our own worst enemy and this is why mindset matters.

We need to learn to know when to listen to our mind and bodies.  We need to give them the adequate care and attention.  Sometimes that means you need to pause, unplug and reset.

I love this quote – unknown author

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes including you”

You are your biggest asset in your life “you cannot pour from an empty cup” – unknown

For me personally, I know that I need to find more balance emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.

Somewhere along the line an unwritten rule came along, telling us we must work, and push harder if we really want x and y.  We strive for perfection, for some that is filling our lives with material objects.  Your life does not have to be about keeping up with the Joneses.

We are individuals who need to embrace and share our qualities and uniqueness because this is what helps make the world go around.  It would be a boring world if we were all the same.

Sometimes I feel we lose ourselves as we try to chase that “something”.  Through the blood, sweat and tears we may find ourselves in a place of overwhelm, unhappiness, fatigued and burnt out.

When we get to the destination it is at that point we may start to question I am happy? will this really make me happy? was it really worth?  I know I have been there and worn the t-shirt.

My body has been showing signs that I needed to listen because I have been overdoing it.  So, I went back to the basics to create balance with my nutrition, sleep, less time on social media.

And the result….

This week I feel great, I have been nourishing my body with real food, plenty of meat, vegetables a little bit of fruit.  No food binges.  I have created a bedtime routine in so far as I have set myself a time that I would ideally like to be a sleep by and have a cut-off point.  I wake up at the same time each day.  The results, I feel brighter, less brain fog, my skin is much clearer, my clothes feel looser and I am feeling even happier than usual.

I feel that in a world where we are being asked to be awake and on call 24/7 we need to know when to pause, rest and recharge and that will look and be different for everybody.

First create sometime were you can sit quietly and think about how you currently feel and are there any areas of your life that you feel may be need a little more focus and attention.

Here a few areas you can either check-in or start to look at:

  • Are you getting enough sleep?
  • Are you drinking enough water?
  • Are you having some “me time” at some point in the day whether that is as small as just having a quiet moment with a cup of tea?
  • Are you eating nutritious meals? This will aid your body to support you to function and sleep;
  • Do you make time for fun – that does not involve using technology like phones or laptops?

I would love to know what you think so please get in touch if I can help support you in your journey.

Much love,

Cheryl
